Our Story

Rec2 is an Australian based recruitment to recruitment (Rec2Rec) business and was founded with the sole mission of connecting exceptional recruiters and leaders to opportunities in market that will genuinely develop and progress their careers, across Australia and the UK.

Whilst doing this, Rec2 is steadfast in providing an extremely high level of service that is attentive, honest and fully transparent, right from the very first interaction.

Dan Packham – Director of Rec2:

As the founder of Rec2, I’ve always had a vested interest in the recruitment industry since falling into it (who doesn’t!) back in 2010 when I was living in the UK.

After working in Medical Sales recruitment and then subsequently moving into that industry in a sales role, an opportunity to move to Australia took place in 2016 and therefore a shift back to recruitment to get my hands on a 457 Visa, and therefore a route to Permanent Residency. 

Fast forward to 2025 and I possess nearly 10 years recruitment experience in Australia, covering the Medical and Tech/Digital space. With experience working across a large gamut of clients, from Tier 1 Enterprises to small consultancies, the common thread has always been offering a high level of service, being as transparent and honest as possible and genuinely caring for candidates as I guided them through what can be at times, a strenuous recruitment process.

Rec2 was established because I wanted to apply that level of service to the Rec2Rec market. I know how important it is for someone to be matched well to an agency – from rookies seeking their first role all the way to senior leaders looking to take a career defining step. This synergy is so crucial and can be fundamental to your earning ability and ongoing success. 

Having previously worked with several Rec2Rec’s before in a hiring capacity and for myself when looking for a role, I completely recognise the degree of service needed to provide an exceptional candidate experience.

My role as the Director of Rec2 is simple, give the best possible experience to both candidates and agencies, and ensure both needs are met successfully. 

Outside of Rec2, my time is mostly spent with my wife Samantha and my son Sebastian, or on the golf course attempting to get my handicap down (a work in progress!).
